Write for Neighborly News
We publish practical, first-hand articles for local business owners: plumbers, dentists, restaurateurs, realtors, shop owners and the marketers who help them.
How it works
- Sign up as a contributor and complete your author bio.
- Write your draft in the dashboard editor: add a featured image, body images with alt text, and internal links to related Neighborly News articles.
- Submit for review. An editor reads every submission, may edit it, and either approves it or sends it back with notes.
- Get published with your byline, bio and author page.
What we accept
- Original articles of at least 600 words that have not been published elsewhere.
- Topics in one of our sections: Home Services, Restaurants & Food, Health & Wellness, Automotive, Legal & Professional, Real Estate, Retail & Shops, Local Marketing.
- A featured image you own or are licensed to use, plus 3 images inside the article, each with descriptive alt text.
- At least 2 internal links to relevant Neighborly News articles or sections.
- No more than 2 external links, each pointing to a genuinely useful resource.
What we decline
- Thin, spun or AI-padded content without real experience behind it.
- Gambling, adult, CBD, crypto, payday-loan or other off-niche topics.
- Keyword-stuffed anchor text and links to unrelated sites.
